Paris (inspired poem)

Image result for leonid afremov
The lights on the street are calling me
The Eiffel Tower is crying my name
My name is rolling off of the tongue of a French boy
Paris is begging for me to walk its streets
This plane is overcrowded and smelly
The man next to me, makes wish we were going faster
I wish the baby, would sleep like a baby for at least 20 minutes
For now, ill pretend these crackers are French bread
And this club soda, is a delectable French Wine
Paris is waiting for me.

  1. This is cute! I like the line about hearing your name from a French boy. And you're right--traveling is rarely glamorous, at least the getting there part!
